A Road Trip Through History
Come join us on our first road trip of 2012, set for May 19th
and 20th.We are headed to
"beautiful downtown Flora, MS". Why
Flora, you say? You mean you didn`t know it has the southern most Petrified Forest in the United States located
at 124 Forest Park Road, www.mspetrifiedforest.com/ The lady that owns the property is a gemologist and has
traveled the world. On the
property is a museum of some of the finest specimens of minerals and gem
quality stones you will ever see. You
can also search through rock piles for precious stones. Oh, I almost forgot. There`s also a gift shop.
From Flora, we will travel west to Vicksburg, MS and stay at
the Battlefield Inn.

highlighting the restored ironclad river gunboat,

then head home via the Natchez Trace Parkway, http://www.nps.gov/natr/index.htm.
